What does sheet metal fabrication cost in 2026? Cutting and bending prices
Sheet metal is the cheapest process per part, but the price is decided after cutting. Here is what laser-cut and bent parts realistically cost.
- Sheet metal fabrication in the Benelux typically costs €8–€75 per part for cut and bent components up to 300 mm in steel, aluminium or stainless. Cutting itself is cheap; bends, tapped holes, welding and coating drive the final price, and from 100 pieces the unit price drops about 45%.

- What does laser cutting cost per metre?
- We price per part rather than per cutting metre, because nesting, handling and deburring weigh at least as much. For orientation: on thin steel the cutting itself is often less than a third of the unit price — the rest is material, bending and finishing.
- What sheet sizes and thicknesses do you process?
- Up to 3,000 × 1,500 mm sheet and 25 mm thickness as standard, from 0.5 mm material. Larger formats are quoted via engineering review — we deliberately publish no hard maxima.
- What tolerances apply to sheet metal?
- ±0.1 mm on cut contours and ±0.2 mm on bend dimensions are standard. On specific features we hold ±0.05 mm. Remember that tolerances stack across multiple bends: dimension from a single datum face.
- Do you also weld, tap and coat?
- Yes. Clinch nuts (PEM), tapping up to M12, TIG and MIG welding, powder coating in RAL colours and galvanising all run in the same order. One quote, one delivery, one point of contact.
- How do I lower the price of my sheet metal part?
- Limit the number of different bend angles, use standard sheet thicknesses, keep holes at least two material thicknesses away from the bend line, and avoid unnecessarily tight tolerances. Those four choices easily save 15–25%.
